About 7t Photos
Nice to meet you, friend! My name is Tony Tuberville, from the great state of Texas! I’m also known among friends as Mr. T, Mister Tony, Mister 7t or just 7t.
Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood when I began with an old Kodak Duaflex camera. I can still recall walking around our small downtown area in Benton, Arkansas taking imaginary “pictures” of everyone. If only I could have been wealthy enough to buy a roll of film back then…that’s a story for another time.
The first camera I can recall with which I took my first real photographs was a Kodak X-15 with 126 film. Most of the photos back then were of neighbors, a few dogs and a local creek which usually harbored a few rabbits and squirrels.
I never knew what a 35mm SLR camera was until later in life. I grew up poor and had never seen anything resembling such a ‘fancy’ camera except on an occasional television show.
After completing Army boot camp in 1979, I had enough money saved to buy a Canon AE-1 and wow, what a camera. From that day, my efforts to learn everything I could about photography began. Over the years, I’ve continually upgrade cameras to the ‘next best thing’ and the latest models when I could afford them. Once the first digital SLRs came out, I bought the only DSLR our local camera store had on display: a Nikon D70. Moving from Canon to Nikon was a huge jump, but I’ve been pleased at that decision. Today, although I still have many of my older SLRs and DSLRs, I shoot strictly with mirrorless Nikon Z9 cameras.
I tend to be quite diverse in my pursuits, however, my main photographic interests are two-fold: Motocross and Wildlife.
I hope you enjoy the site as much as I enjoy updating my portfolio from time to time.
